 Sunny Wilkinson

Vocal Jazz Fest Saturday, April 21
See jazz vocalist Sunny Wilkinson in concert, Saturday at 8 p.m., in the Niles North Auditorium!

Parents and students alike are invited to head over to Niles North Saturday night for an evening concert by internationally renown jazz vocalist Sunny Wilkinson.

Wilkinson's concert is the culminating event of the Niles North Vocal Jazz Festival, which takes place all day at the high school. She  has taken her place in the elite group of jazz vocalists who have stretched the boundaries and found themselves "one of a kind." Her performance credits include performing with The Count Basie Orchestra, Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass, Clark Terry, Mark Murphy, Milt Hinton, Curtis Fuller, and Edgar Winter among many others. Notably, Wilkinson also sang on the popular TV show 'SAVED BY THE BELL' and was a "SOLID GOLD SINGER." She has been featured on numerous commercials and movies, memorably "DARK MAN" for Danny Elfman.

"The singer proves an inventive, sometimes mischievous stylist who likes to toy with rhythm and temperament."
— Bill Kohlhaase, LA Times

"Sunny Wilkinson demonstrates her mastery of the jazz idiom in this wonderful recording. Her superb ability to phrase lyrics brings out every nuance of each song she sings."
— Peter Blair, High Wire

Tickets $15 at the box office or call Dan Gregerman, Niles North Choral and Vocal Jazz Director at (847) 626-2115 for advanced ticket sales.
